Licensed Automotive Technician

Laplante Cadillac is currently looking for a Licensed Automotive Technician to fill a full-time position within its dynamic team of experienced professionals.

Job summary:
The incumbent will perform general repair and maintenance services on customers’ cars and light-duty trucks while maintaining the highest level of performance and attention to detail.

  • Great work schedule (Weekends start at noon on Friday's plus off on Saturday's for two consecutive weeks & the third Friday is a full work day till 5pm plus Saturday from 8am-12pm.);

    Automotive Service Manager

    We are looking for an experienced service automotive professional to lead our service team as Service Manager. The candidate will be bilingual, passionate and highly knowledgeable about automotive service and repair, as well as being a leader in delivering the personalized high level of service that exemplifies the Laplante Brand.

    Responsibilities:

  • Hiring and supervising all service department personnel (advisor and technicians)
  • Help creating goals and objectives for the department
  • Ensuring technicians compliance with the General Motors training program
  • Ensuring all warranty claims are accurate and submitted in a timely fashion within General Motors Guidelines
  • Maintaining the highest degree of customer service standards while increasing customer loyalty
  • Managing our tools and equipment budget
  • Qualifications:

  • We are looking for a candidate with previous Service Manager experience. We will also consider an individual currently occupying the position of Assistant Service Manager or Shop Foreman and ready to move to the next level
  • Technician license will be considered an asset
  • Must demonstrate strong communication skills
  • Understand and keep abreast of all rules and regulations regarding automotive operations
  • Be bilingual in both French and English

    Collision Technician Apprentice

    Carstar Hawkesbury is currently looking for a full-time Collision Technician Apprentice.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    •Assist Metal Technician remove and install bumpers, body panels and trim;
    •Perform minor body repair and part replacement;
    •Pre-clean and post-clean incoming and outgoing vehicles;
    •Maintain a clean workshop.

    EXPERIENCE/ SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
    •1-3 years of auto body collision repair experience or equivalent is preferred;
    •High school diploma is required;
    •Willingness to take online training;
    •Willingness to become a registered Collision Apprentice in Ontario;
    •Strong attention to details;
    •Ability to receive direction and be a team player;
    •Valid driver’s license.
